“Modesty is a Branch of Faith” an Awareness Seminar organised by Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources

The Events and Activities Office at the Directorate of Human Resources organised an awareness seminar entitled “Modesty is a Branch of Faith” delivered by Sheikh Abdullah Darwish Mohammed from the Islamic Affairs Department, who highlighted the virtue of this holy month of fasting on men and its role in instilling many lessons. The seminar was held at the men’s prayer room in the Directorate’s headquarters in Al Liya, attended by several Department Managers and employees of the Directorate.

The Directorate of Human Resources signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs, on Sunday 05/05/2019, at the headquarters of the Directorate in Al-Liya.  The aim of this MOU is to enhance common cooperation in the field of management and follow-up of the students’ affairs, employees of the government of Sharjah who were sent on a scholarship outside the State to complete their higher education through the Cultural Attachés Offices of the Ministry abroad, starting from their enrolment in the educational programme up until obtaining the degree.

On the occasion of the International Workers’ Day on the first of May, Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources held a ceremony for this occasion in its headquarters in Al Liya and its branch in Al Dafin, highlighting that this ceremony consolidates the State’s laws and policies that recommend human rights without any discrimination based on religion, nationality, race or social status.

Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources organised a workshop entitled “Three-Dimensional Performance Appraisal” at Al Rawi Cafe, with the participation of appraisal officials at the Support Services Departments in Sharjah Government’s departments, authorities and establishments, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Salem Al Mashawi, Director of the Directorate of Human Resources.

During the sixteenth meeting of the Ministers and Heads of Civil Service entities in the GCC countries, held on Wednesday May 1, 2019 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, the General Secretariat of the GCC Countries granted HE Dr. Tariq Bin Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, the GCC Medal for Civil Service and Administrative Development, which is granted to prominent figures who provide oustanding services in their career path in civil service and administrative development at the GCC countries and who effectively contribute in the development of the rules and laws of human resources and administrative development.
