Waffer Programme is a governmental initiative launched by Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources in March 2013. It is the first initiative in terms of discounts at the level of the Government of Sharjah. It covers 80 government agencies, employing more than 25 thousand employees.
The initiative aims at providing the opportunity, to the private sector companies and organisations, to participate in a Programme offering special discounts to the employees of the Government of Sharjah and local retirees, which is intended to drive economic growth to the benefit of the employees participating and benefitting from the Programme.
A website with a classification of the participating companies according to their activities has been launched. Such website is updated periodically to provide immediate service 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to all employees working under the umbrella of the Government of Sharjah to view the advantages and discounts offered.
Seasonal offers are also sent to the e-mail of the government employees and seasonal offers are also posted on the social media such as “Instagram” for Waffer Programme, in addition to the exhibitions held at the headquarters of the Directorate and also in all government departments to introduce the latest joining companies to the employees.
As a reflection of the vision of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, to establish the Emirate of Sharjah as the capital of education, scientific research and innovation, the Directorate launched its electronic portal known as the “Creative Ideas Bank”.
This “Creative Ideas Bank” portal serves all the experts, specialists and administrators in various sectors (Federal government, local government and private sectors) working in the human resources field, as well as all the parties concerned with innovation and creative solutions and ideas in the human resources field.
This portal will allow them to transform ideas into reality, reach the most successful solutions and suggestions in order to confront the requirements of the coming phase, adopt the creative ideas, launch any initiatives in the interest of human resources and materialize the leading models in this vital field on both regional and international levels.
