Dr. Tareq Bin Khadim Meets the Newly Appointed Employees in Sharjah City and the Central Region

His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadem, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Head of the Directorate of Human Resources, has met with the graduates of the National Programme for the Rehabilitation of New Employees for 2019 and a group of graduates of the Programme in the Central Region, whose number in total is (292) employees.
This was after the graduation ceremonies of the two groups organized by the Directorate in Sharjah at the Institute of Training and Judicial Studies, and in the Central Region at the headquarters of the Directorate’s branch in Maliha. The meeting aimed at achieving effective communication with them, promoting a culture of open dialogue between leaders and human cadres in the work fields, in addition to motivating new employees to demonstrate leadership, creativity, initiative-taking, and team spirit.
In his name and in the name of the new employees, his Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Chairman of the Directorate, presented his high appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his wise guidance in approving the appointment of (724) job seekers from the Emirate, based on the requirements of social development, his unlimited quest to identify the needs of the job seekers from among the Emirate’s nationals, provide suitable employment opportunities for them and overcome any obstacles in their way.
He added: Immediately upon having received the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to appoint (724) job seekers; the Directorate has prepared itself to receive newly-appointed employees by implementing an organised plan that includes intensive and integrated training courses for all of such employees appointed from all the cities of the Emirate in Sharjah, the cities of the Central Region and the cities of the Eastern Region.
Placement of the new employees of the Programme has taken place in coordination with the departments of all directorates, institutions and government entities that they have recently joined. The intensive training programme covers courses related to the skills of dealing with employees and clients, management skills such as time management, office management, and the preparation and writing of career reports, creativity and innovation skills, management education for the staff for tasks related to the Implementing Regulation, performance assessment and job discipline.
He then addressed the new appointees from among the nationals of the Emirate, affirming the Directorate’s belief in them and their role as national forces, equipped with knowledge and skills, in increasing efficiency and productivity, and promoting development and enhancement of their society.
He wished them success in completing the Programme and their readiness to start off in the field of government work, contribute to the employment of tools, skills and knowledge in carrying out their responsibilities and civic duty, and the development of business components in the institutions they recently joined.
He expressed his pride and happiness for them having joined the national cadres of the Government of Sharjah, which puts its human resources on its list of priorities, believes in their competencies and seeks to sustain investment in their development, as lead by the vision and guidance of the Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect him, who believes that the human element is the foundation of the renaissance and the first maker of success in all institutions.
He stressed that the government of Sharjah is an incubator environment for UAE creative and distinguished cadres, a fertile environment that supports sustainable training and career development, and makes outstanding future leaders.
At the end of his speech, His Excellency urged the new employees to master the responsibilities, be proactive and seize all available opportunities to develop their skills and abilities and to keep pace with the rapid changes and continuous self-learning.
The graduates have expressed their views on the Programme, where Khawla Al Mazmi from Sharjah Institute for Heritage said that the Programme provides valuable information for the newly appointed employees for them to develop a sense of responsibility and be able to deal properly with all career affairs.
Ahlam Mohammed, from RTA, spoke about the extent to which she benefited from the Programme, and considered it as the most appropriate start for the new employees because of its motivational advantage.
Reem Issa, from the Social Services Department, explained the extent to which she benefited from the Programme, and to which she is aware of the work requirements and the most important duties assigned to her as a new employee. She added that such programmes are very important for every newly appointed employee as they provide an opportunity to understand the nature of the duties and circumstances ahead, and offer the means for every employee to overcome difficulties and be able to succeed on a professional level, and to have knowledge of the laws and regulations, and answer all the questions such employee would have.
Bader Abdullah from Sharjah Municipality explained that this Programme represents the ideal start from his point of view for any new employee in his field. He explained the extent to which he benefited from the courses of the programme where he learned about the best methods to deal with colleagues and superiors and the new work environment, and he became aware of the regulations and all legal affairs, as well as the methods to address crises and challenges in the work field.
