SHRD accomplishes COVID-19 tests for 9,000 govt employees

The Sharjah Human Resources Directorate (SHRD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHaP) represented by the Sharjah Medical Zone, conducted tests for the early detection of the novel coronavirus "Covid-19" for 9 thousand employees of the government of Sharjah.
The tests were carried out at the designated testing sites in the cities of Sharjah and the Central and Eastern Regions, to cover all government employees, thus ensuring their safety before returning to workplaces.

Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Sharjah Human Resources Directorate, honoured the first line of defence of the medical cadres in the Sharjah Medical Zone, and the volunteers in the field, whose number reached 38 from the SDHR, who initiated the organisation of the testing sites, and facilitated the testing process.

Held at the testing site at the headquarters of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, the honouring aims to show appreciation for the tremendous efforts made by the medical and volunteer teams, in preserving the regulatory procedures, and adhering to the preventive measures.

Bin Khadem expressed his deep gratitude for the high directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the close follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, to implement the medical testing for all employees of the Sharjah government-citizens and residents- with parental concern and great interest in enhancing the safety of the community, and providing a safe and healthy environment in the emirate.

He praised the efforts of all the teams and cadres of the Ministry of Health and Prevention represented by the Sharjah Medical Zone, and all volunteer teams formed from the staff of the SDHR, who initiated cooperation in light of the circumstances and challenges imposed by the current situation, and exerted their utmost efforts and energies in enhancing the safety of the society, providing a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

He valued the national cohesion of all volunteers in all testing sites, and praised their constant readiness and harmonious integrated framework, which embodied their active role in performing the national duty, and supporting the wise leadership’s efforts in overcoming this global pandemic.

Bin Khadem aslo praised the cooperation of all authorities, institutions and departments of the Government of Sharjah, and the response of all employees who were present at the testing sites, for adhering to the guidelines and preventive measures, which achieved the highest degree of success of the precautionary measures taken by the Government of Sharjah, to ensure the safety of employees before their auspicious return to their workplaces.
