Sharjah Human Resources Directorate (SHRD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention represented in the Sharjah Medical District, has started to conduct checks for employees of the Sharjah government expected to return to work, to ensure their safety before starting work.
The department has started coordinating with the departments and bodies and institutions of the Sharjah government to direct all their citizens and residents to conduct the examination for the new "COVID- 19" virus, free of charge, at the examination site that was created specifically for this purpose at the headquarters of the Sharjah Chess Club.

His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Chairman of SHRD, member of the Sharjah Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, said: Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah stemming from his patriarchal diligence and his keen interest in the employees of the Sharjah government and their families, and the close monitoring of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council since the beginning of the crisis to provide the highest levels of safety and preventive and precautionary measures for the community of the Emirate of Sharjah, the decision to implement the examination came to all employees of the government of Sharjah citizens and residents.

He explained that the authorities were divided into groups, so that the number of those present for examination at the headquarters during the day does not exceed 200 people. This is to ensure the application of the precautionary measures represented in the physical distance and leaving distances of up to two meters between each employee, while wearing gloves and committing to cover the nose and mouth with masks.

He added: The examination headquarters started receiving the employees of the Sharjah government, conducting checks and taking vital signs for the employees to early detection of coronavirus. According to the schedules prepared for their attendance, the employee will be notified in advance of the date of his examination. The examination headquarters will receive employees from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sharjah were keen to coordinate with the Sharjah Medical District to carry out the examination through sites in the central region and the eastern region, taking into account the remote areas of the employees ’housing and to facilitate their arrival at the examination headquarters.

He pointed out that the importance of this examination is to ensure that a large segment of society is free of the virus, which is the staff segment, and contributes to achieving the general safety of all citizens and residents on the territory of the emirate.

He called on those who show symptoms of the disease later to clarify the situation for his officials at the workplace and then go immediately to conduct the test.

He stressed that the resources of Sharjah are keen to make all efforts that guarantee the safety of the cadres in the government of Sharjah, as it has in turn taken all preventive measures taken globally to confront the virus and limit its spread.
