His Excellency Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Sharjah Human Resources Directorate (SHRD) said that several employees of Sharjah Government from various departments, bodies and institutions returned on June 14 to their workplaces, adding that a minimum of 30% of the workforce, who were previously allowed to work remotely, resumed their duties on-site.
He emphasised that the Directorate had previously circulated detailed regulations, ensuring to make special arrangements for resuming operations from workplaces.
All the departments and entities have taken all the precautionary and preventive measures, aiming to ensure highest levels of safety to welcome the staff back to workplace. Precautionary and preventive measures include the sanitisation of the buildings, equipments, and facilities; frequent cleansing of all areas; installing temperature-measuring devices at all the entrances of the institutions; systems to enable social distancing and providing sterilisation and prevention devices and supplies; as well as various other measures that enhance the employees’ safety.
He has called on all the employees to adhere to all of these instructions and preventive measures announced by the concerned authorities in the country. He stressed that if any of the virus symptoms occur on any employee, the employee should stop coming to the workplace.
He explained that the Directorate has highlighted all the instructions and measures of returning to work in the manual, that was circulated to all the departments and institutions in the emirate, to be distributed among the employees.
He has further appreciated the distinguished efforts of all the employees during the previous period, during which all parties demonstrated their complete readiness to work remotely.
