Tariq Bin Khadim: The Sixth Sharjah Human Resources Conference Completes Sultan’s Vision in Developing the Human Capital throughout the Previous Conferences and Anticipates the Future

H.E. Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, President of the Supreme Committee that is organising the Sixth Sharjah Human Resources Conference, confirmed that the launch of the Conference on Wednesday, 19 February, emphasises the keenness of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources to complete and translate the vision of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassemi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, in developing the human capital and anticipating its future.
 
Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim pointed out that the Sixth Conference that will start tomorrow Wednesday at the Medical Complex of the University of Sharjah, Al Razi Hall, is an extension of what was raised during the previous conferences, and emphasises the content and topics of the title (Future of Human Resources) in light of the continuous advancement of the performance of human cadres to be able to give and excel under the tremendous development of technology.
He indicated that the Conference will have two sessions to be held on the first day, where the first session will discuss the “Future and Sustainability of Human Resources”. This session will be moderated by the journalist Hamed Al Mashani and it will involve several speakers who are experts in the human resources’ field, namely Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Saeed Hareb Al Mansouri, Head of Human Resources Planning at Sharjah Police, Financial Consultant and Human Resources Expert, Dr. Abdulrahim Al Zarooni, and H.E. Counsellor Mohammed Saeed Al Qubaisi, from Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, founder and CEO of Gulf Media Network.
     
The questions and themes of the first session will discuss the future and sustainability of human resources, how to conform to the future requirements in terms of human resources, and how the future will be a door to new professions. They will also discuss the fate of traditional occupations and their workers, the role of governments, educational entities and private sector in this regard, extent to which time can pass to reach future jobs, nature of hypothetical future challenges, motivation to study future changes and their impact on human resources.
 
The second session is entitled “Impact of Globalisation on Human Resources and Social Life”, to be moderated by the journalist Hussein Al Sheikh. Advisor Mohammed Salman Al-Shehhi, Vice-President of Emirates Centre for Human Rights and Economic Advisor at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Najeeb Al Shamsi, will be the speakers of the session.
 
 This session raises several important themes and questions, most notably how and the extent to which the Arab and Gulf regions are affected by globalisation, as well as its positive constructive impact, challenges and obstacles.
It will also discuss the effect of globalisation on local markets, especially SMEs, and the possibility of driving resources in light of globalisation to enter the global markets.
 
Concerning the second day, Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim stated that the first session on that day will be entitled “Human Resources in light of Digital Economic Development”, moderated by the journalist Alia Al Shamsi with a group of speakers, namely: Hassan Abdullah Al Balghouni, Corporate Communications Director at Sharjah Islamic Bank, banking expert and community activist, Awatif Abdulrahim Al Harmoodi, Director-General of Operations and Governance at Emirates Islamic Bank and member of the Central Bank Committee of the Emirates Bank Federation for Operations, Fraud and Investigations.
This session will address some topics related to this theme, namely: Direction of global economy towards digital economy, digital companies and their control of the world’s economies and methods of driving the countries towards digital economy.
It will also discuss the possibility of qualifying our human resources for digital economy, and the extent to which the traditional markets and traditional jobs can maintain their position in light of the digital economy.
 
The second and final session of the second day of the Conference will be held under the title “Innovation, Knowledge and Foresight for the Future of Coming Generations”, moderated by Brigadier General Dr. Abdullah Abdulrahman Bin Sultan, Director the Future Foresight and Decision Support Centre at Dubai Police General Command.
Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi, Director of Higher Colleges of Technology, Dr. Hanadi Nasser Al-Suwaidi, Consultant of Talent and Creativity at the Ministry of Education, trainer, educational consultant and expert in preparing teachers in the field of talent education, and consultant in talent, creativity and corporate strategic planning, Mr. Saif Ali Al Shehhi, Executive Director of Happiness & Positivity and Supply Management at National Bonds Corporation, Advisory Board member at the Canadian University of Dubai and member of the Board of Directors of Afaq Islamic Finance, will speak at the session.
 
This theme will tackle the research topics presented concerning innovation and knowledge as two ways to switch to future jobs, future of the coming generations in the business sector, benefit from knowledge in reading the future changes and innovation as a competitive value sought by the labour market. The session will be concluded by answering the most important matter: Future of the Human Resources.
 
Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim indicated that at the end of the Conference, the recommendations considered as outputs of the scientific papers and studies will be presented. The Conference will also be accompanied by two workshops to be held on two days, the first entitled “Saving is your Way to Investment”, in which Mr. Amin Al-Sahlawi, Vice-President of Support and Control of Retail Banking Services at Sharjah Islamic Bank, will give a lecture. The second workshop entitled “Importance of Individual Investment”, where Mr. Salah Salem Al Halyan, Insurance and Investment Consultant and former Financial Planner, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Securities Authorities, founder and Director of Bizat Institute for Training Personal Financial Management and Investment, will give a lecture.
