11/27/2017

The Directorate of Human Resources in Sharjah announced the introduction of Waffer smart app, launched by Sharjah Executive Council in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, at the Ruler’s Office. The application targets serving and retired employees of Sharjah government as well as the companies taking part in Waffer, to offer them maximum benefit and develop the services provided through the programme thanks to the smart app and the added value offered to the Programme beneficiaries. The application was launched under the slogan “Be Part of Life”. It provides a host of services related to the discounts and offers extended through the Programme, namely viewing the participating companies according to their classification by services and products, introducing the new companies on board and presenting the seasonal offers they provide. Users can also prepare a list of the best companies and evaluate them. The application is available on Apple Store for iPhones and on Google Play for Android phones. Thanks to Waffer smart app, government employees now have easy access to the offers provided through Waffer and they are immediately informed of any new offers and new companies included in the Programme. The app also facilitates marketing for companies included in the Programme in addition to keeping up with the latest technologies for launching government e-services and giving Waffer a competitive edge over other discount programmes. It is available in both Arabic and English and is accessible to government employees and other users who can navigate the app and view its content. The application gives an overview of Waffer Programme and its pages present the latest offers and news as well as a photo gallery. It also includes a list of the companies taking part in the Programme where users can select the companies of their choice from among 25 classifications, and get more acquainted with the services and discounts they offer. The app users can communicate with the Directorate through the channels of communication to raise their suggestions and complaints, and they can add their evaluation for each of the participants, report any problem they encounter and make the most of the features of their favourite companies. The Directorate’s announcement reflects its vision of digital transformation towards reaching a smart government, and its strategy to make use of e-services to improve the quality of services provided to the government employees. All employees have access to Waffer smart application in a bid to facilitate the provision of services, allow maximum benefit from the Programme and adopt the principles of digital transformation in addition to utilising the benefits of smart phones by making the app accessible to all. Dr. Tareq bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, said “Under the continued guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Directorate seeks to innovate all that brings happiness to the people, serves their best interests and achieves the sustainable development of government work which in turn maintains the Emirate’s position on top of the latest developments.” Bin Khadim explained that the application was launched following the remarkable success of Waffer and the participation of a great number of companies and institutions in the Programme by offering the best deals and discounts to Sharjah government employees. The aim of the application, he added, is to facilitate employee access to the offers provided through the Programme, to keep them informed of the latest on Waffer and to help them to stay on top of the technologies for launching e-government services.
