He highlighted the importance of empowerment and its positive impact on improving professional performance within government entities. He also praised the Sharjah Human Resources Department for its strong role and cooperation in implementing the project, noting that it strengthens the principles of occupational safety and health in government work environments.
Strategic partnership and objectives
His Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Head of the Human Resources Department, affirmed that Sharjah Police’s contribution to this programme is a strategic initiative aligned with government directives to foster a culture of prevention, institutional sustainability, and improved efficiency in occupational safety and health. He noted that the project ensures safer and more stable work environments and enhances institutional performance across all entities. He added that the partnership reflects the complementary roles of government bodies in achieving shared goals that benefit employees, institutions, and the community.
Training modules and programme structure
The project includes specialised modules covering occupational safety and health concepts, legislation and responsibilities, identifying hazards in work environments, assessment and control mechanisms, first aid principles, the role of the paramedic in the workplace, and managing the safety of all clients, visitors, and service providers.
Programme duration and accreditation
Brigadier Al Naour explained that the project is being implemented through training groups from January of this year until November 2026, with each group completing seven specialised modules. This ensures comprehensive coverage across all government entities and targets occupational health and safety representatives in government institutions. He added that the programme’s outcomes are accredited according to the highest international standards, with graduates receiving a training certificate issued by the Sharjah Department of Human Resources and accredited by the Sharjah Private Education Authority, as well as a certificate accredited by the Sharjah Police General Command.
