Sharjah boosts Arabic language skills with specialised training

25 March, 2025

The Sharjah Human Resources Department, in partnership with the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, successfully concluded an intensive training programme titled "Common Linguistic Errors." The programme, held at the academy’s headquarters, aimed to refine the language skills of government employees across different job levels, ensuring greater accuracy in their writing and communication.
Comprehensive training on grammar, spelling, and style

The programme covered essential linguistic aspects, including spelling rules, grammar principles, punctuation usage, and methods for identifying and correcting frequent writing errors. Participants engaged in hands-on exercises, such as composing official letters and reviewing past written work, to reinforce their practical application of correct language usage.

Supporting Arabic language excellence in institutions

This initiative provided participants with the tools to enhance their command of Arabic, contributing to improved quality in official correspondence and documentation. The programme aligns with Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to promote and preserve the Arabic language within professional environments, reinforcing its role in cultural identity and strengthening institutional communication. Through such training, Sharjah continues to uphold the value of linguistic proficiency in government workplaces.
