Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources (SDHR) organised a "sign language" training programme for government employees, coordinating with Sharjah City For Humanitarian Services.

The programme aims to facilitate communication with people with hearing disabilities.

It has two stages, where the first one was implemented at the headquarters of the Sharjah Education Academy with the participation of 35 employees, and the second stage will be in August.

The course covered an introduction to sign language, explaining the basics, its alphabets and numbers, and how to form phrases.

The programme demonstrates the department's continuous efforts to achieve integrated services in Sharjah's departments.
