Successful mock evacuation in all branches of SDHR

26 July, 2022

The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR), in cooperation with the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, implemented during the current month of June a “mock evacuation workshop.”
The mock fire evacuation process was conducted at the headquarters of the department’s branches in the cities of the Emirate, with the participation of employees, administrators, technicians, representatives from the Sharjah Police and a cadre of the National Ambulance in the Emirate.

This is part of the continuity plan in the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and within the framework of the department’s commitment to raising awareness and empirical knowledge of security and safety procedures, as well as enhancing the capabilities of employees and workers to face risks and raising the degree of readiness to deal with all emergency conditions.

The team organising the evacuation process, which was carried out in stages, gave lectures prior to the implementation process to explain the process by drawing up an accurate plan for the optimal response in the event of disasters occurring within facilities.

The evacuation process was carried out in all the facilities with complete success in a period ranging from one and a half to two minutes in each of the different branches separately.

At the end of the event, the supervising technical team praised the positives of implementation, and presented its recommendations to the security and safety team in the department to ensure the continuity of proper application and raise awareness of successful dealing with hazards and emergencies.
