SDHR concludes career guidance programme for school students
03 June, 2021
Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources (SDHR), in cooperation with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), concluded the career guidance programme for high school students 2021, in which nearly 2,000 students and attendees from administrative and teaching bodies participated.
The programme was held via the distance training system through the Sharjah Education Academy platform in coordination with SPEA during 6 training days. It included a number of workshops that dealt with many important themes, most notably: personal skills and self-leadership, time management skills, communication skills, preparing and writing a CV, and preparing for personal interviews.
The programme is represented in providing broad lines and professional guidelines for male and female students to understand and know the mechanisms of the labour market, its requirements and needs, the required scientific and academic disciplines, and labour law. This is in an effort to direct them to the right path in making future decisions for the appropriate university majors in accordance with the requirements of the labour market.
The importance of the programme lies in its targeting of the segment of students who represent the promising national labour force, and who are about to enter the labour market. They form the core of the development process at the heart of business sectors, and targeting them promotes sustainable development at the state level.
