During the meeting, H.E. Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim praised Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi Emiratisation project, aiming at providing suitable job opportunities to national job seekers in the private sector and at removing the obstacles faced by them. He confirmed the importance of integration and cooperation between all bodies and committees concerned with Emiratisation in order to give a great and continuous momentum to Emiratisation in the private sectors, including the aviation sector.
His Excellency added: “We are able, with all our efforts, to contribute to the generous initiative of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, that every National obtains a job guaranteeing his family stability. Therefore, we should all join our hands to fill the deficit in the government jobs”. Thus, we invite our fellow colleagues in the private sector to cooperate with us by providing the ambitious talented Nationals with the opportunity to embark on a successful career journey that would ensure a stable life for them. We, in turn, will refine these talents by organising training and qualification sessions that would prepare them to work in the private sector and would sharpen their skills to aptly enter this field as it will open new horizons for them to work and excel.”
The discounts offered by Air Arabia through Waffer Discounts Programme to the employees of Sharjah Government were also discussed during the meeting, as well as the discounts offered by Waffer Programme to the employees of Air Arabia.
Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim said that, under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, the Directorate seeks, through its strategic plan, to provide incentives and distinguished services to the employees of the Government to contribute to their happiness and motivation and to increase their efficiency and productivity and provide an encouraging work environment for them. He confirmed that the Directorate is careful in selecting the companies to join Waffer Discounts Programme, based on the wishes of the employees themselves in order to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and happiness.
He then thanked Air Arabia for its cooperation and assistance in achieving a part of this goal that we all aspire to, which is finding a job opportunity for every National and providing social welfare to employees.
H.E. Adel Abdullah Ali, CEO of Air Arabia, said: “The aviation industry, and Air Arabia, have a significant position in the Emirate’s local economy, contributing to around 7% of the GDP”.
He explained that Air Arabia adopts programmes, initiatives and strategies aimed at enhancing the skills of the Nationals and qualifying them by developing practical and thoughful plans and incentives to drive them to work in the aviation industry.
He also confirmed that Air Arabia will strive to launch several initiatives to achieve high Emiratisation ratios in this industry and will organise sessions that highlight the integrated system of employment, starting from education at schools and universities with curricula that meet the requirements of the various jobs in the aviation industry.
Furthermore, he pointed out that Air Arabia succeeded, over the past years, to increase Emiratisation ratios in administrative positions in order to achieve UAE Vision 2021 on Emiratisation. It also strives to increase Emiratisation ratios in technical positions by providing intensive training and qualification programmes that are commensurate with university studies, in order to continue the support of Emiratisation in the aviation industry.
