Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources launches the Foundation Programme: International Computer Driving Licence ICDL For the Employees of Sharjah Government at the Eastern Region

Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources organised the foundation programme: “International Computer Driving Licence” at the branch of the Directorate in Kalba, Eastern Region, on Sunday 20/10/2019, with the participation of a number of employees at the departments, authorities and institutions of Sharjah Government of all functional levels, in an effort to inspire generations, apply artificial intelligence everywhere, and motivate employees to expedite completion in creative work environments of high quality and productivity, by using the latest artificial intelligence technologies and applying them at the work fields, and by investing human resources in an optimal way to improve the government performance at all levels.
The ICDL programme is considered a comprehensive and efficient training programme based on competence, for all those who wish to become fully qualified in using artificial intelligence and future tools. After completion of the programme, the employees obtain an internationally approved certificate of ICDL.
The five-day programme includes learning artificial intelligence and future tools, understanding future technology, enhancing human intelligence through integration with intelligent technology, early understanding of the impact on our industries and services and implementing artificial intelligence solutions to increase our productivity in an intensive manner.
HH Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, said that the programme is important because it highlights the strategy of the UAE regarding artificial intelligence “UAE Centennial 2071” under which artificial intelligence is approved in our public and private sectors. It aims at providing creative working environments that believe that artificial intelligence makes jobs easier and more efficient, and will lead us to a great added value, making it the only communication channel between the vision of the future and radical innovation.
