Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources organises a Lecture on Zayed Humanitarian Work Day

Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources held a lecture on humanitarian work in cooperation with Sharjah Charity International, to celebrate Zayed Humanitarian Work Day which falls on 19 Ramadan each year, in memory of the death of the late founder of the State Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.

The lecture was held at the Directorate’s branch in Al Dafin and targeted administrators and employees from various departments. It was presented by Aisha Al Huwaidi, Director of Volunteer and Community Service Department at Sharjah Charity International.

The lecture started with a video presentation of the quotes of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, on urging cooperation and humanitarian action. It then focused on spreading charity awareness and the spirit of affinity, charity, tolerance and solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, which reflects the moral, national, social and humanitarian values of the UAE society.

It called on the attendees to work continuously in team spirit to promote the concept of volunteering and giving, which benefits the society as a whole. It also illustrated the close link between humanitarian work and true happiness that man desires.

This event coincides with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day in line with the Year of Tolerance 2019 to promote tolerance culture that calls for cooperation and support of others and manifested through charitable and humanitarian actions in all aspects especially since it is based on support and solidarity.

On this highly valued humanitarian occasion, His Excellence Dr. Tareq Sultan bin Khadim, member of Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, said: Zayed Humanitarian Work Day reflects the feelings of appreciation and instils the values of loyalty, giving and gratitude to the founder of the UAE late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. It is the anniversary of the renewal of the founder’s approach, recalling his humanitarian achievements and accomplishments that made the UAE aids reach every person in need inside and outside the State. It is also a continuation of the path of our beloved country with good, tolerance and humanitarian and volunteer work, and an annual interpretation embodying the meanings of humanitarian solidarity under the guidance of our wise leaders.
