On the occasion of receiving the GCC Medal for Civil Service and Administrative Development Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim “Ruler of Sharjah, Source of Inspiration towards Excellence”

During the sixteenth meeting of the Ministers and Heads of Civil Service entities in the GCC countries, held on Wednesday May 1, 2019 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, the General Secretariat of the GCC Countries granted HE Dr. Tariq Bin Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, the GCC Medal for Civil Service and Administrative Development, which is granted to prominent figures who provide oustanding services in their career path in civil service and administrative development at the GCC countries and who effectively contribute in the development of the rules and laws of human resources and administrative development.
Due to his long experience in the development of human resources, civil service and administrative development, His Excellency deserved the Medal given that he is an inspiring figure of excellence and a model of leadership and competence in government work in several fields, for adopting a comprehensive excellence perspective.
He drives excellence, encourages employees and incites them to excel in their functional performance so that they become a role model. He said: “I dedicate this honour of receiving the Medal to our leader, HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, as he is the first source of inspiration in leadership and excellence who has a long-term perspective towards the development of rules and regulations supporting human resources. He calls on everyone to exert all energies and capacities to promote the institutional work within a coherent system of various government, private and academic institutions in an integrated and harmonious manner that serves the citizens. He drives growth and development in the Emirate according to an approach that aspires to reach lofty goals through real partnership with all institutions to achieve functional, family and social stability, which improves the government performance”.
He praised the support of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, for his continuous follow-up of the work progress at various institutions, development of rules and legislation that contribute to the achievement of the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah and provision of an optimal working environment for the workers at the government departments and institutions, that ensure creativity and innovation, leading to capacity building and the promotion of employees’ excellence by following up the most important challenges and achievements in the field of innovation and human resources in a transparent and proficient manner.
He added: “We are proud of our achievements that have contributed to enhancing the role of the UAE and the Emirate of Sharjah to be one of the best governments in the world, through the efforts of the Emiratis who have harnessed their experience and expertise to serve the nation and the community. We all strive to reach the highest levels of performance excellence with our country”.
 
He said: “We are always ready to share and exchange our experiences, which promotes the complementary role of the local and international institutions in the field of human resources, exchanging knowledge, experience and expertise, applying the best practices, coordinating and unifying efforts with the various relevant institutions to achieve the common goals and improving the development plans and programmes”.
  He concluded: “This is an honour for us and it drives us to intensify our efforts to raise the level of performance and competence in order to achieve results exceeding expectations. The accomplishments are sure evidence of the maturity and growth of the Emirate of Sharjah in the human building projects and efforts. This honouring is not a goal by itself but it is a means to drive the interests and energies to give more and better”.
