HE Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadem, member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources attended two days ago the annual gathering to honour the strategic partners (Progress Partners 2019) organised by Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre.
The ceremony was attended by heads and directors of government entities in Sharjah and several leaders representing the federal and local government sectors, representatives of private sector companies, and community and media institutions, in addition to a group of supporters of the Directorate’s journey and several employees from all the branches of the Directorate.
His Excellency Dr. Tariq Bin Khadem, Chairman of the Directorate, honoured 210 government and private entities, strategic partners of the Directorate, as well as senior officials, community leaders, media officials, and members and partners of Waffer Programme that offers special discounts to the staff of the government of Sharjah.
A film was displayed during the ceremony, showing the Directorate’s plans and strategies which translate the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, in the preparation of leading national cadres who enhance the status of human resources in the Emirate. The ceremony showed the current work and future services of the Directorate as well as its efforts in the support and development of the human element in the State.
It also highlighted the achievements of Waffer Programme, which is the first government programme to offer discounts to the employees of the departments and authorities in the Emirate of Sharjah, whose number exceed 30,000 employees distributed over more than 70 government departments and authorities.
 A film was also displayed showing the programme’s initiatives, events and accomplishments since its launch in 2013 until present, as well as its vital role in achieving the vision of the government of Sharjah to offer the best services in all areas of life for its employees and achieving satisfaction, happiness and social welfare among them.
A draw was organised during the ceremony offering valuable prizes from the Directorate and several companies, members of Waffer Programme. Etihad Airways offered the highest prize, one business class travel ticket, Shamel Trading Est. offered over AED 7,000 worth of purchase vouchers, and IMG Worlds of Adventure offered several tickets.
HE the Chairman of the Directorate delivered a speech appreciating the role of strategic partners in achieving the Directorate’s success and appreciating their continuous support and their keenness to consolidate common strategic relationships. He shed the light on the Directorate’s aspiration towards wider and greater areas in promoting joint initiatives and projects, developing offered services and achieving successes and accomplishments.
He also emphasized the importance of joining forces among the government and private institutions and companies to achieve comprehensive and leading development at the Emirate and the future forecasts, to launch quality initiatives and several projects consistently with the visions and plans set by the wise leader HE Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him.
At the end of his speech, he confirmed the commitment of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources to always contribute to the consolidation of the prestigious status of the Emirate and to remain the support of the institutions, authorities and entities of the Government of Sharjah, with the aim of achieving the strategic objectives adopted by the wise leaders.
The Directorate aspired through this ceremony to honour the entities for their continuous support and to strengthen the cooperation between the Directorate and its partners, which in turn contributes to the improvement of common works and achieving consolidated strategic objectives that promote the Emirate’s position.
