A Joint Meeting between Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources and Dubai Government Human Resources Department

HE Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, received on Sunday HE Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of Dubai Government Human Resources Department, heading the Department’s delegation, in a joint meeting at the headquarters of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources at Al-Liya, in the presence of a number of senior officials from both parties.
The meeting aimed at exchanging experiences and presenting the best practices in the field of human resources development for both parties, and reviewing the ways of joint cooperation to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of national cadres and the development of regulations and legislation supporting human resources, which is in line with the future visions of the UAE.
HE the Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim, welcomed this important visit as it enhances cooperation between both entities in a way to achieve complementarity of efforts in the field of human development in the State.
The meeting started with the presentation of a film of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, which embodied the plans and strategies of Sharjah Government, translating the vision of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, in preparing leading national cadres to enhance the position of human resources at the Emirate. It also showed the present work and the future services at the Directorate and its efforts made to support and develop the human element at the State.
HE Dr. Tariq Bin Khadim, discussed the vision of HH Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, aiming at developing the rules and regulations supporting human resources and seeking to achieve job, family and social stability to ensure the improvement of government performance. He presented the policies and regulations of human resources that were developed in the Government to keep up with the global developments in human resources.
He also mentioned the intelligent electronic transformation at the Directorate of Human Resources and its strategic plans and methodology in programme and project management, performance management systems and performance monitoring, and its efforts in the preparation of Emirati human capital by qualifying and training job seekers, overcoming difficulties and opening channels of communication between them and entities from both the public and private sectors offering job opportunities. He introduced the qualification sessions and programmes and the professional diplomas that enable Emirati youth to plaint a clear picture of a successful career.
He then presented the system of career development programmes offered by the Directorate to the Government employees, within the frame of its commitment to human resources development by providing the human resources with the skills and abilities that meet he needs of the labour market and the fields of constantly renewable and changing jobs. He focused on the professional diplomas developed in implementation of the national plan for community development 2017 - 2022, and training programmes designed according to an integrated training plan classified into studied systems.
He then spoke about the various job happiness initiatives offered by the Directorate to the Government employees, the most important of which “Waffer” discount programmes for the employees of the departments and entities of Sharjah Government, reviewing its events, accomplishments and pivotal role in achieving the Government’s vision in offering the best services within all areas of life for its employees.
In conclusion, he emphasised the importance of normative comparisons as an evolving approach that provides opportunities to improve the quality of practices. He reviewed all forms of cooperation that the Directorate is preparing to make, in order to achieve the common visions of both entities.
HE Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of Dubai Government Human Resources Department, stressed on the keenness of the Department to cooperate with all the local human resources departments and federal authorities for the development of the human resources capital in the UAE.
He said that cooperation between Dubai Government Human Resources Department and its counterpart in Sharjah aims at exchanging experience and knowledge in order to enhance the human resources sector, prepare the Emirati human capital, qualify and train the same, overcome the difficulties faced by the national job seekers and identify the qualification courses and programmes as well as the professional diplomas at both entities.
He added that Dubai Government Human Resources Department develops the plans and strategies that strengthen the status of the human element in the UAE, the Emiratisation of jobs, the increase of the nationals’ efficiency and rehabilitation for the future jobs, in addition to attracting and maintaining talents to contribute to the leadership of government work, and strengthen the position of the UAE.
He then thanked HE Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, for his warm hospitality, wishing for more cooperation between them.
