10 July, 2019

H.E. Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, stated that Sharjah Directorate was heading towards instilling and reinforcing the culture of investment among the segments of the National human cadres targeted thereby, namely job seekers and government Employees.
This was stated on the side lines of the conclusion of the Diploma of Preparation of a Successful Entrepreneur, which was recently organised by the Directorate targeting for the first time on the governmental level, employees of all functional levels at Sharjah government’s entities, authorities and departments.
The training was provided by the Capacity and Business Development Consultant, Hamed Al Ali who covered the following: raising awareness about the concept of entrepreneurship, providing practical practice of what’s done by a creative entrepreneur, motivating and encouraging participants to think and experience independent work and demonstrating the activities and applied projects.
H.E. Dr. Tariq bin Khadem also expressed the following regarding the importance of said Diploma: “The modern orientation to develop the human wealth in the State necessitates giving the Emirati Nationals all possible means to thrive and contribute in the development of the National economy, by instilling the culture of taking the initiative to establish private entrepreneurship projects.”
Dr. Tariq bin Khadem also said that Sharjah Directorate is keen to work according to a thoughtful strategy that guarantees the achievement of the future objectives of Sharjah government in discovering a generation of National entrepreneurs, by enabling commercial businesses to become a main driver in labour market and economic development, and in facilitating a change in this field by guiding Emirati powers and capacities towards the investment market given that it’s an option supporting government work.
Dr. Tariq proved that Sharjah Directorate had early realized the importance of supporting investment orientation as well as its pivotal role at the present time in creating valuable job opportunities and achieving growth, prosperity and economic and social well-being for Nationals. This interest was reflected in the implementation of integrated programs that encourage the youth to invest and move from government employment to entrepreneurship and the establishment of investment companies. These seeds were first planted among job seekers for whom numerous relevant qualification programmes were organised over the previous years, most notably 2019 programmes that included the most important subjects such as Creativity in Project Management, Entrepreneurship and Preparation of Small Projects. The Directorate was always keen to target the job seekers of all educational levels and specialisations in all the cities of the Emirate in order to lead them towards the best use of the fertile business environment in the UAE State and the privileges granted by the State in general, and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular, for the establishment and expansion of investment activities, making an effective contribution in the development of the National economic scene in the State.
