Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources celebrated Mid-Shaaban Night by organising a series of events and activities at the Directorate’s headquarters in Al-Liya and its branches in Al Dafin and the Eastern Region in Khor Fakkan and Kalba, in the presence of the Directors of Departments, Heads of Sections and the Directorate’s employees.
The events of the main building were inaugurated by HH Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Director of the Branches Affairs Department, and they included several heritage activities that provided an atmosphere of familiarity bringing back memories of the beautiful past of the UAE, with the participation of the elderly from home care. Several interactive competitions were organised which spread some excitement and fun among the employees. The events were organised by Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Sharjah Archaeology Authority and Al Khan Primary School (Girls).
The event of the Directorate’s branch in Al Dafin included several heritage activities and competitions, folk songs and folklore art presented by the students of Al Resalah International School of Science in Sharjah.
The events were organised as a part of the Directorate’s initiatives to promote national identity and deepen the heritage of adults and young people. The festivities were redolent with authentic social connotations and enhanced the spirit of communication and friendship among everyone, showing interest in popular heritage by reviving the same in all generations.
HH Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Director of the Branches Affairs Department, expressed the importance of preserving the special character of the UAE community, enhancing its identity through awareness of the popular heritage and celebrating the occasions thereof. He also valued the employees’ initiatives and creative ideas in reviving such occasions that contribute to the creation of positive energy in work environments. He thanked all the partners and cooperating entities that contributed to the success of the event.
